Kairos Retreats
Loyola plays a host to numerous High School retreats every year. One of the more popular retreat models is the Kairos Retreat. Kairos is a Greek word meaning “seize the opportunity.”
The Kairos Retreat is based on the conversion process outlined by St. Ignatius in his Spiritual Exercises. Over the course of four days and three nights (this can vary), there are talks, numerous small group discussions, daily Eucharist, a healing service, opportunities for reconciliation and an experience of shared prayer.
The Retreat is led by members of the senior class and an equal number of adults from across the school community. Principals, teachers or student advisors are encouraged to call (330) 896-2315 or email usto inquire further about scheduling a high school Kairos Retreat.
Pre-Confirmation Retreats
Many area schools now plan their Confirmation retreats at Loyola Retreat House. Elementary through high school age students are scheduled throughout the year to attend a single retreat day in preparation for being confirmed. The program consists of presentations and small group discussions.
Times and dates are scheduled by calling Loyola at (330) 896-2315. We invite school principals or DRE’s to contact us about this program. Dates fill rapidly. Please call or email us for more information as to available dates and times.
