Loyola Retreat House Launches New Website

Aug 1, 2016 | Posted by Loyola Retreat House | News |

Our hard working group of volunteers!

Loyola Retreat House is pleased to announce the launch of a new website. With it, we hope to continue and expand our mission of providing a place of hospitality and serenity in an increasingly busy world.

Besides a cleaner and easier to use layout, the site includes new features such online event registration and payment, more videos and photos about our events, and a blog that we will update regularly.

As you explore our new site, please leave a comment and let us know what you think!

We would to thank the organizers of Cleveland Give Camp, who organized a volunteer team to create this site for us over the course of this last weekend. An especially large thank you to Rick Mac Gillis who invested a great deal of time over the last several weeks preparing for the weekend, and team members Daniel Britt, Katherine Dill, Sarah Morgenstein, Jacob Piekarski, Michael Smith, and Stanley Van Peck for the long hours of work they put in making the site a reality.

GiveCamp is a weekend-long event where software developers, designers, database administrators, project managers and creative professionals donate their time to create software and web-based applications for non-profit organizations. The event takes place at the LeanDog Boat (former Hornblowers) and Burke Lakefront Airport on the shores of Lake Erie.

The event is entirely volunteer-driven and some of the volunteers take the “camp” part of GiveCamp literally, pitching tents and staying all weekend. Great meals are provided and there are many opportunities to network with professionals from around the region. Overall, it’s a great opportunity for people to work together, develop new friendships, and do something important for the community.

We are grateful for everyone at GiveCamp’s hard work!
