On April 8, from 12:30 to 3:30 pm, immerse yourself in the wonders of the universe while basking in the spiritual serenity of our sacred grounds. The event is free; registration is required.
Eclipse Mass - Kick off this extraordinary event with a special Eclipse Mass at 12:30 pm with Abbot Gary Hoover in our chapel, where we'll gather in prayerful reflection to honor the magnificence of creation.
Eclipse Viewing Experience - Following Mass, prepare to be awe-struck as we transition into our outdoor eclipse viewing experience. With FREE protective eyewear provided for safe observation, marvel at the gradual dance of the sun and moon, painting the sky with an ethereal display of light and shadow.
Blankets and Chairs Encouraged - To enhance your comfort and enjoyment, we invite attendees to bring their own blankets or chairs for seating during the eclipse viewing. Settle into a cozy spot amidst the tranquil surroundings of Loyola's 70 acres, immersing yourself fully in the celestial spectacle above.
All Are Welcome - Whether you're a seasoned stargazer or simply curious about the wonders of the universe, this event is open to all community members. Registration is requested to reserve your glasses and a seat at mass.
