The Northeast Ohio Catholic Community came together on Tuesday, November 29, Giving Tuesday, in an extraordinary way to support the important work of 157 participating Catholic schools, parishes, ministries, Catholic Charities sites and programs, and other nonprofits through an historic online effort named #weGiveCatholic. Through the outstanding organizational and promotional efforts of the Catholic Community Foundation, Loyola Retreat House participated in this first-ever Northeast Ohio online day of Catholic Giving.
During this 24-hour giving campaign, 4,147 gifts were donated, raising a total of $414,199. Loyola is grateful and pleased to announce that Friends of Loyola donated a total of $1,730 to our Retreat House. The Board of Trustees and Staff would like to especially thank our Friends who participated in this special day, either by making an online donation or by mailing in a check with a thoughtful Giving Tuesday note.
Through your contribution to Loyola on #GivingTuesday, you will help provide the opportunity for individuals who might otherwise not be able to experience the joy of a retreat. These retreats include the Faith & Light Retreat for children and adults with physical or developmental disabilities in June 2017 and others.
