Mirjana Soldo, the visionary from Medjugorje, wrote a book: “My Heart Will Triumph.” In it she says she received ten secrets from the Blessed Mother. She does not speak of them in the book or reveal their content, but she ends the book with the basic message of our Lady over these past years with an exhortation to respond to the call.
The message is first to Pray. As our Lady said on January 2, 2005: “Dear children my motherly heart begs you to accept prayer, because it is your salvation! Pray, Pray, Pray, my children.”
Mirjana reminds us that a short prayer from the heart is more powerful than along one composed of words with no feeling. God speaks to us through love, so love is the language He understands.
Secondly, our Lady asks us to fast on Wednesdays and Fridays on bread and water. “The great love of God sends me to lead you to salvation. Give me your simple hearts purified by fasting and prayer. Only in the simplicity of your hearts is your salvation.” (September 2, 2007)
Thirdly, Mary asks for confession once a month. “Dear children! In the great love of God, I come to your today to lead you to the way of humility and meekness. The first station on the way, my children, is confession. Reject your arrogance and kneel before my Son.” (July 2, 2007)
Fourthly, attend Mass as often as possible. “May the Mass be the most exalted and most powerful act of your prayer, let it be the center of your spiritual life.” (August 2, 2008) From the beginning of the apparitions, our Lady emphasized the importance of Mass. She told us that if we ever found ourselves having to choose between attending Mass or seeing her in an apparition, we should always choose Mass.
Finally, our Lady asks us to return the Word of God to our homes. Do not let the Bible sit in a dusty corner like a decoration, but put it in a place of honor where it will be seen and touched.
“My children, to live my Son means to live the Gospel.” (December 2, 2014) Then Mirjana exhorts us to answer this call. As if to say to follow her call, you will not have to worry about the secrets and what will happen.
